AiMe
Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and NAMAIS Ltd for using AiMe at aime.photo, including any booth you use at an event. By asking for an invite, making an account or taking a picture you agree to them. AiMe is in a closed test, and some of these terms are about that test.
Who we are
AiMe is provided by NAMAIS Ltd, company number 15106217, registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 94 Coniscliffe Road, Darlington, Co Durham, DL3 7RW, United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].
What AiMe is
AiMe is a photo booth that runs in the browser on your phone. You take a selfie, choose a world, and an AI model remakes the picture with you in it. You can keep the picture to yourself, post it to the wall of a booth you belong to, or share and save it.
AiMe is in a closed test. You need an invite to make an account. The test is free. We limit how many pictures a person can make each day and how many people a booth can hold, and we may change those limits while the test runs. We may change, pause or close AiMe at any time during the test, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of faults.
The pictures are made by an AI model. They can be strange, inaccurate, or not what you asked for. The model is asked to keep everyone in the selfie as they are, but sometimes a face changes, or a person comes out a different age or gender. That is how this kind of model works. We cannot promise any particular result, and a picture you do not like is not a fault we can fix on request. You can delete it and try again.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to have an account. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use AiMe.
Give us a real name and an email address and mobile number that are yours. Keep your phone secure, because anyone who can read your text messages can sign in as you. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
One account per person. Do not make an account for someone else, and do not sell or hand over your account or your invite.
Your pictures and your permission
Your selfies and the pictures made from them are yours. You give us permission to store them, to send a selfie to our AI provider to make the picture, to show your posted pictures to the people you have chosen, and to make copies that are needed to run the service, such as the copy on an event screen. We do not use your pictures to train AI models, in our advertising, or for anything other than running AiMe for you.
Only take pictures of people who agree to be in them and who agree to the picture being remade by an AI model. If anyone in a selfie is a child, you must be their parent or guardian or have that person's permission. Do not upload a photo of someone who is not there with you.
You can delete any of your pictures at any time, and deleting a picture also deletes the selfie it came from. Pictures you have shared or saved outside AiMe are beyond our reach.
Rules of use
Do not use AiMe to do any of these things.
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
- Make or post pictures that are sexual, that show nudity, or that are hateful, threatening or harassing.
- Make a picture that is meant to mislead anyone about a real person or a real event, or pass an AI picture off as a real photograph where it matters.
- Pretend to be someone else, or use a name that is not yours.
- Take or upload a picture of anyone without their permission.
- Get around the daily limits, the booth limits or the invite system.
- Copy, scrape or download pictures that are not yours, or probe or interfere with the service or the systems behind it.
If you break these rules we may remove pictures, close your account, or both. If we remove a picture we will say so where we reasonably can.
Booths, walls and sharing
A booth is a group of people who can see each other's posted pictures. The person who creates a booth owns it. The owner chooses its name, its address, whether it is private or public, how people may join, and how many pictures a day each member may make. The owner can block a member, and a blocked member's pictures leave the wall.
A new picture is private to you. Posting it puts it on the booth's wall for the members to see. If the owner has made the booth public, anyone who has its address can see the wall. Think before you post, and before you make a booth public.
When you share or save a picture, where it goes next is up to you. Pictures carry a small AiMe mark unless the booth owner has turned it off.
Booths at events
An organiser may run a booth at their event, which guests open by scanning a code, without an account. The organiser is responsible for telling guests how the booth works, for making sure guests agree to be photographed and to have their picture remade by an AI model, for the sample photos they upload, and for what is shown on their screens. The organiser is the data controller for the guest list and anything they collect themselves. Our privacy policy at aime.photo/photo-booth/privacy explains what we do with the pictures.
What belongs to us
AiMe, its name and logo, its design, its code and the worlds we have written are ours. These terms give you the right to use AiMe, not to copy it. If you send us ideas or feedback we may use them without owing you anything, and we thank you.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using AiMe at any time. During the test there is no button to delete your account, so email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will remove your pictures, your booths and your details, normally within a day.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we must by law, or when the test ends. If we close AiMe we will give you time to save your pictures where we reasonably can. When an account is removed its pictures and selfies are deleted.
Our responsibility to you
During the test AiMe is provided as it is, without promises about how well it works or how long it will be available. We are not responsible for a loss that we could not have expected when you agreed to these terms, for a loss that comes from how you use a picture, or for a loss caused by something outside our control. Because the test is free, our total responsibility to you for anything arising from it is limited to £100.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not let us limit. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as AiMe changes. We will change this page and move the date at the top. If a change is important we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using AiMe after that, the new terms apply to you.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also rely on the law of, and bring a claim in, the courts of the country where you live.
